West Hollywood : 300 Try for Deputy Posts

About 300 people showed up Saturday at Fairfax High School to take the initial test to become deputies for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, according to West Hollywood’s Public Safety Officer Nancy Greenstein. West Hollywood officials had requested the test be given in the local area to encourage more gays and lesbians to consider careers in law enforcement.
