HOLLYWOOD PARK : Olympic Prospect in Derby Day Feature

A field of nine headed by Olympic Prospect was entered in Saturday’s $100,000-added Triple Bend Handicap at Hollywood Park.

Olympic Prospect will be ridden by David Flores and was assigned high weight of 123 pounds for the 39th running of the seven-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up.

Others entered were Frost Free, who will be ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye and was assigned 117 pounds; Raise A Stanza, Russell Baze, 117 pounds; Prospectors Gamble, Julio Garcia, 114 pounds; Hot Operator, Corey Nakatani, 113 pounds; Over The Pole, Dave Patton, 113 pounds; Timeless Answer, Robbie Davis, 112 pounds; Twombly, Corey Black, 111 pounds, and Joe Nasr, Rafael Meza, 111 pounds.

If all nine entries go to the post, the total purse will be $110,200 and the winner will collect $65,200.

The $100,000-added Spotlight Breeders’ Cup Handicap also will be run Saturday. A field of 11 headed by Somethingdifferent and Warcraft was entered in the one-mile turf race.

Somethingdifferent will be ridden by Baze and was assigned 121 pounds while Warcraft will be ridden by Davis and was assigned 120 pounds.

Others entered in the 12th running of the race for 3-year-olds were Balla Cove, who will be ridden by Flores and was assigned 118 pounds; Solar Launch, Meza, 116 pounds; Hawaiian Pass, Black, 115 pounds; Robyn Dancer, Frank Olivares, 115 pounds; College Green, Goncalino Almeida, 114 pounds; Green’s Leader, Delahoussaye, 114 pounds; Short Timer, Garcia, 113 pounds; Mehmetori, Patton, 112 pounds, and Itsallgreektome, Nakatani, 112 pounds.

If all 11 entries go to the post, the total purse will be $111,050 and the winner will earn $66,050.
