TW Holdings Inc.: The Spartanburg, S.C., parent of the restaurant firm TW Services said it had a first-quarter net loss of $46.1 million, contrasted with net income of $8.3 million a year ago. Revenue rose slightly to $861.9 million. The firm blamed the results on interest expense associated with the acquisition of TW Services in July, 1989. TW Services operates contract food services and restaurant chains through its Canteen, Hardee’s, Quincy’s, Denny’s and El Pollo Loco units.
