‘Nightmare’ Suit Thrown Out: The producer of the “Nightmare on Elm Street” movies won a court order dismissing a $5-million lawsuit by an investor for a share of profits from the films. The lawsuit had been filed by Smart Egg Productions, an investor and joint-venture partner in the successful horror series. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Miriam Vogel agreed with New Line Cinema Corp. that the suit should have been filed in New York.
