West Hollywood : Parking Permit Plan OKd
The City Council approved plans to establish a nighttime permit parking zone for residents of the Larrabee Street-Palm Avenue area.
Residents and guests with permits will be allowed to park along San Vicente Boulevard, Palm Avenue and Harratt and Larrabee streets from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. according to the plan.
Vehicles parked along Cynthia Street and San Vicente must also display permits from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Those without permits may park for a maximum of two hours between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
In other action, the council voted 3 to 2 to increase permit parking fees by 67% to offset rising administrative costs of the city’s preferential parking programs.
Resident parking fees, which would increase permit revenues by $70,000, will cost $5 for the first permit, $8 for the second, $14 for the third and $24 for the fourth.
