45 Firefighters Felled by West German Blaze

GRIESHEIM, West Germany —
Police said Sunday that 45 volunteer firefighters were hospitalized after battling a printing plant blaze.
Officials suspect that the firefighters inhaled fumes from a solvent released by the fire late Saturday.
The fire in Griesheim, 12 miles south of Frankfurt, caused about $240,000 in damages.
