JEWISH COLLEGE: Classes are set to begin this fall at a countywide College of Jewish Studies, in cooperation with Cal State Fullerton’s religious studies program. . . . Sponsored by the county’s synagogues and Jewish education groups, the college will initially hold classes three evenings a week at Temple Beth Sholom in Santa Ana. With about 100,000 people, “the Jewish community in Orange County is just big enough now to have our own college,” said Rabbi Frank Stern, of Beth Sholom, who will head the institution.
