P.M. BRIEFING : New Work Dispute Hits Hyundai

South Korea’s biggest exporter, the strike-plagued Hyundai Group, was hit by a new dispute today when auto workers put down their tools indefinitely, demanding better pay and work conditions.

“Union members will continue to report to their plants but will not work until the company shows sincerity,” said a union official at Hyundai Motor Co. in the southeastern city of Ulsan.
