MIRA MONTE : Mobile Home Park Damaged in Fire
A fire at a mobile home park near Ojai caused about $100,000 in damage, authorities said.
Early Sunday, a newspaper delivery boy reported seeing flames from the recreation room of a mobile home park in the 1200 block of Loma Drive, in the Mira Monte community west of Ojai, said Jackie Noel, a dispatcher for the Ventura County Fire Department.
The cause of the fire was a malfunctioning coffee pot, Noel said.
Twenty firefighters, four engines, a truck and other equipment were used to combat the fire, which was brought under control in about half an hour. No one was injured, Noel said.
