Fullerton High School outfielder Bobby Patel, the county’s top senior hitter, heads the list of selections for the North team that will participate in the Orange County All-Star baseball game, June 12 at Anaheim’s Glover Stadium.

Patel has a .522 batting average, 12 home runs and 39 runs batted in.

Pitcher Todd Blyleven of Villa Park was also selected, marking the first time a father and son both have been chosen to play in the game. Blyleven’s father, Bert, the Angel pitcher, played in the 1969 all-star game for Santiago.
