Christina Y. Smith, a metal-smith from Fullerton, is one of 63 visual artists in the state being recommended for $5,000 fellowships from the California Arts Council. Smith, who received a master of fine arts degree from Cal State Long Beach, has had solo exhibits at the Garth Clark Gallery in Los Angeles and has shown her work in Orange County at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. The council is scheduled to vote on artists’ fellowships June 1.
