Diamond Bar : City Manager Pay Raise
The City Council on Tuesday night gave City Manager Robert Van Nort a $700-a-month raise and doubled his severance pay agreement.
By a 3-1 vote with Councilwoman Phyllis Papen opposed and Councilman Paul Horcher absent, the council voted to increase Van Nort’s annual salary from $80,400 to $88,800. His severance pay is eight months’ salary, up from four months under his previous contract, which expires June 1.
The contract also includes a $400-a-month retirement benefit.
