Bungalow Heaven Neighborhood Tours Planned
The Bungalow Heaven Neighborhood Assn. will sponsor its first walking tour of homes in the historic Bungalow Heaven Landmark District on June 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A neighborhood of more than 800 homes, Bungalow Heaven has a large concentration of California and Craftsman bungalows. The 12 homes on the tour, dating to the early 20th Century, were selected because of their unusual and varied architectural styles. Many will display furniture and decorative arts of the period.
Tickets for the tour cost $10 for adults and children between 5 and 12; $7 for Bungalow Heaven Neighborhood Assn. members, and $5 for senior citizens. For advance tickets, call (818) 798-5200.
Tickets will also be available on the day of the event at McDonald Park, at the intersection of East Mountain Street and North Wilson Avenue in Bungalow Heaven.
