GOING. . . Orange County people are travelers, much more so than their L.A. Basin neighbors. . . . A 1988 study showed they were 28% more likely to visit foreign parts and a whopping 68% more likely to travel the United States. . . . About 43% of county adults had traveled abroad between 1986 and 1988, contrasted with only about 34% for the greater L.A. area.
