Associated Press
TUSKEGEE, Ala. —
A stunt plane crashed in flames while trying a roll-over maneuver during an air show, killing the pilot as 1,000 stunned spectators watched, authorities said. Albert Butler, 28, of Houston and a member of Negro Airmen International, was killed in the crash Saturday night at the annual Memorial Day holiday air show.
The event is held as a tribute to black pilots who trained at Tuskegee during World War II, when the Air Force was segregated.
