Tektronix Cuts 1,300 Jobs: Oregon’s largest high-technology company disclosed a major restructuring that includes the elimination of 1,300 jobs, cutting its work force by almost 10%. Tektronix said the move will result in a one-time charge of about $70 million in the company’s fourth quarter that ended Saturday. The layoffs will be completed by August, Tektronix said.
