Several lanes of the Ventura Freeway between the San Diego Freeway and White Oak Avenue will be closed for construction this weekend, the California Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
As many as three of the four westbound lanes between the San Diego Freeway and Balboa Boulevard will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday and from 10 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday, according to Caltrans. During the same time, as many as three eastbound lanes between White Oak and Balboa will be closed.
Eastbound on-ramps from Balboa and White Oak will be closed between 10 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. Both eastbound and westbound off-ramps to Balboa will be closed between 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. During the same time, both on-ramps from White Oak will be closed as well.
Caltrans advised eastbound motorists to leave the freeway at Reseda Boulevard or Tampa Avenue, use Burbank or Ventura boulevards and re-enter the freeway at Hayvenhurst Avenue. Westbound travelers should exit at Haskell or Hayvenhurst avenues, use Burbank or Ventura boulevards and re-enter the freeway at Reseda or Tampa.
