PerfectData Reports Huge Jump in Profit

PerfectData Corp., a Simi Valley maker of maintenance supplies for computer equipment, said its fiscal fourth-quarter profit jumped to $125,000 from $34,000 a year earlier.

The earnings gain in the quarter that ended March 31 came on an increase in sales to $1.39 million from $1 million, and reflected product introductions and cost controls, the company said.

For its full fiscal year, PerfectData earned $132,000, compared with $10,000 the previous year, and its annual sales climbed to $4.05 million from $3.6 million.
