Urinalysis Machine Maker Cuts Loss for Quarter

International Remote Imaging Systems Inc., a Chatsworth maker of urinalysis machines, reported a net loss of $58,403 in the quarter that ended March 31 on a 4% gain in revenue to $1.08 million. A year earlier, it lost $397,417 on $1.04 million in revenue.

The company said the loss narrowed because of increased product sales and lower operating expenses.
