Broadcast News: KTLA Channel 5, the dominant independent news station in Los Angeles, has named Warren Cereghino as news director to replace Jeff Wald, who recently moved into the top news job at rival station KCOP Channel 13 after eight years at Channel 5. The promotion comes at a time of flux in the local news scene, as all seven VHF stations have hired new news bosses in the last 18 months.
