Ashbrooke, a 238-unit move-up single-family development by Lyon Communities Inc., opens today in the Gordon Ranch planned development in Chino Hills.

The first phase of 17 four- and five-bedroom houses is offered in four two-story plans with 2,100 to 2,546 square feet, priced from $249,990 to $318,990. Ashbrooke is the second of four planned Lyon developments in Gordon Ranch.

Features include 2 1/2-3 baths and three-car garages. First move-ins are planned for October. Four furnished models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 14555 Elm Hill Lane, reached from the Chino Hills Parkway exit of the Corona (71) Expressway.

Monterey Hills Condos

Surfwood Monterey, a 92-unit condominium development convenient both to downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena, opens today in the Monterey Hills area of Los Angeles.

The complex by Surfwood Development Inc. features two-bedroom, two-bath units in four plans ranging from 1,000 to 1,200 square feet, priced from $149,950 to $179,950.

Immediate move-ins are available and the monthly association dues of $170 pay for upkeep of a pool, spa and fitness room. Four furnished models are open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 6140 Monterey Road, reached from the Avenue 60 exit of the Pasadena (110) Freeway.

Portola Hills Homes

Montecido at Portola Hills, a 300-unit development by the Baldwin Co., opens today in Trabuco Canyon with 45 two- to three-bedroom townhouses in the first phase.

The four plans are offered in three two-story and one single-level layout and range in size from 1,015 to 1,303 square feet. Standard features include one- or two-car attached garages, vaulted ceilings in some plans and dual master suites in some plans. Prices range from $124,900 to $166,900.

First move-ins are scheduled for October. Monthly association dues are estimated at $135 and cover use of the recreation center with a pool, spa and clubhouse. Hiking, biking and equestrian trails are also available in the 1,000-acre master-planned Portola Hills development in which Montecido is located.

Four furnished models are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at Fawn Ridge and Yosemite Drive, reached from the eastbound El Toro Road exit of the San Diego (5) Freeway.
