A man suspected of robbing 11 banks has been arrested, police said Monday.

Tony D. Jordan, 35, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Sunday without incident at his home in the 300 block of San Marcos Boulevard, said police spokesman Bill Robinson.

Jordan, who is being held in County Jail on $150,000 bail, is suspected of robbing banks between April 9 and June 1.

Police matched the description of Jordan’s 1977 Porsche, allegedly used as a getaway vehicle in several of the robberies, with partial license plate numbers provided by witnesses, Robinson said.

The FBI will take over the case and conduct identification line-ups.
