Santa Monica : Latino Cultural Center

Share

The Santa Monica Cultural and Recreation Department is seeking proposals from private and nonprofit groups interested in establishing a multipurpose Latino cultural center on city-owned land in the downtown area.

The center would occupy half of the 7,500-square-foot ground floor of a five-story mixed-use project. The other half would be used for commercial purposes, and the four floors above it would contain 44 low-income single apartments.

The city is looking for a center that would provide performance space for music, dance, live theater, arts and crafts, films and other cultural events. Meeting space for public groups would also be provided.
