Nine charges involving the alleged kidnap and assault of three additional victims were filed Thursday against an Immigration and Naturalization Service agent accused of abducting illegal immigrants off streets in the San Fernando Valley and threatening to deport them unless they had sex with him.

The latest charges bring the total to 17 against James Edward Riley of Reseda. Included are allegations that he raped a woman after conducting an unauthorized, one-man “raid” at gunpoint on a Van Nuys bar.

Riley, 32, is charged with three counts of kidnaping, three counts of rape and one count each of forced oral copulation, attempted forced oral copulation and assault with intent to commit rape. Riley is accused of using his position as a federal agent to commit the crimes. Riley entered a plea of not guilty to the new charges and Van Nuys Municipal Judge Leslie Ann Dunn set a preliminary hearing for July 30.
