‘Sigh of Despair’ Over Food Coalition

Share

It was possible to understand the objections of residents surrounding Plummer Park which led to the eviction of the West Hollywood Food Coalition (“Food Coalition Falls on Hard Times Again,” Times, May 31). However, that the coalition cannot find a haven in a church or in a desolate industrial area brings a sigh of despair.

I would not presume to disregard any sincere complaints by businesses at Sycamore Avenue and Romaine Street. However, what is achieved by action against the coalition that may shut it down? The homeless will remain among us, with one less source of sustenance.
