National Technical’s Profit for Quarter Falls

National Technical Systems, a provider of engineering and testing services, said its fiscal first-quarter profit fell 30% from a year earlier on little change in revenue.

In the quarter that ended April 30, National Technical’s net income dropped to $201,000 from $285,000 a year earlier, while its revenue slipped to $7.72 million from $7.74 million.
