WORLD IN BRIEF : EAST GERMANY : Suspect in Bombing of U.S. Base Is Held

East Germany said it has captured a West German leftist linked to the 1981 bombing of a U.S. air base, the eighth fugitive member of the Red Army Faction it has arrested this month. Henning Beer, 31, was arrested in the northern town of Neubrandenburg, Interior Minister Peter-Michael Diestel said. Beer was wanted in an attack on the U.S. base at Ramstein, West Germany, that injured 18 people.
