Two Baby Bells in Second Czech Venture: US West and Bell Atlantic signed a letter of intent with Czechoslovakian authorities to form a joint venture company to build a public switched-packet data network in the Eastern European nation. On June 15, the same parties agreed to construct a national cellular system and work together to modernize the telecommunications infrastructure in Czechoslovakia.
