Pavarotti Loses Security Scarf: Luciano Pavarotti feels naked without it, and he wants it back. The tenor has lost his favorite red silk scarf that he uses to keep his neck warm when not singing on stage. It slipped off last Wednesday during a meeting with opera lovers in the historic Palazzo Vecchio of Florence, Italy, where he is recording Giuseppe Verdi’s “Il Trovatore.” He appealed in Sunday newspapers: “Whoever finds my scarf please bring it to the Communal Theater.”
