George Bosy, who has been seeking city cooperation on a project to shelter the homeless, was arrested Tuesday by Pomona police on warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges at municipal courts in El Monte and West Covina.

Lt. Bela Laszlo said an anonymous caller contacted police about the charges against Bosy after seeing his photograph in a Times story Sunday on his homeless project. Laszlo said Bosy, 35, was taken into custody at his business, the Four Aces Motel.

According to court records, Bosy failed to appear for a jury trial on drunk driving charges Feb. 20 at Rio Hondo Municipal Court in El Monte and missed a pretrial hearing on a charge of contracting without a license Jan. 31 at Citrus Municipal Court in West Covina.
