REMOTE CONTROL: Andres Cantor, Univision TV’s soccer announcer, must be having a great time in Italy calling all those World Cup games, right? Wrong. Cantor and his partner, Norberto Longo, are calling the games live, but from 6,500 miles away in the network’s Laguna Niguel studios. . . . Roberto Prado, associate producer of the Spanish-language broadcasts, says it’s better as well as cheaper to keep the announcers at home. If the satellite feed fails, the announcers can keep chatting about the game “and you don’t have to go looking for a cartoon.”
