Dramatic Fred Savage: “Wonder Years” star Fred Savage has been cast in the title role in “The Legacy of Michael Patrick Smith,” a two-hour ABC movie which will air during the fall season. The film is based on the true story of Smith, a young man with muscular dystrophy who felt his civil rights were being violated because of the inhumane treatment he received in nursing homes. He sued the United States government on behalf of all elderly and disabled nursing home patients.
