Koreans Want Distributor Out: Movie producers, directors, actors and actresses in Seoul, South Korea, rallied Wednesday to demand the expulsion of a Hollywood distributor they claim is trying to strangle the Korean film industry. Protesters charged that United International Pictures (UIP), an alliance of Universal, Paramount and MGM/United Artists, was “armed with big capital” to destroy the country’s fledgling film business.
