Parents Should Listen to Their ‘Junior E-Men’

Kathleen Doheny’s article “Junior E-Men on Patrol” (June 22) asks the question regarding newly Earth-conscious kids who demand parental support of the cause: “How do parents live through this Earth Police phase?” The answer is simple: Start listening to your children.
Rather than complaining about her Earth-conscious child nagging her, Doheny would do well to realize that the energy she doesn’t save today will be the cancer-causing air pollution of tomorrow.
