Gannett Sees Lower Second-Quarter Profit: Gannett Co. confirmed that it expects second-quarter earnings to be lower than a year earlier, its first quarterly drop since the company went public 22 years ago. Gannett said it will issue its earnings report for the April-June period in a few weeks. On Friday, its stock closed down 62.5 cents at $36.50 a share.
