Mayor Bradley Revamps DWP
So Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley has aced out Department of Water and Power general manager Norman Nichols and is also installing more friends as DWP commissioners (Part A, June 27).
Bradley agrees that he had no differences with Nichols until April, when the general manager balked at endorsing the mayor’s water-rationing plan.
Well, given my druthers, I’d welcome the advice of Norm Nichols in regard to rationing over that of Bradley any time. After all, Nichols has been in executive position with DWP for many years (33) and he didn’t make the No. 1 position through lack of knowledge.
