California Ballet Assn. Presents Annual Awards
The California Ballet Assn. gave its special merit award to principal dancer Karen Evans at its annual meeting Sunday at the San Diego Yacht Club.
The award consists of a $1,000 check and a plaque.
Other winners are David Crookes, who was named outstanding dancer of the year by company members and directors, and Kara Scott, a member of the troupe’s junior company, who was named student of the year.
