Nick Beverley, the director of player personnel development for the Kings the past two years, was hired today as the NHL team’s assistant general manager.
Before taking over the player personnel development position, Beverley was an assistant coach for the Kings, scouted for the team and was the head coach of the New Haven Nighthawks of the American Hockey League.
He played 10-plus seasons in the NHL as a defenseman for the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Minnesota North Stars and Kings.
“Nick will continue to be based on the East Coast,” Kings General Manager Rogatien Vachon said. “His duties will consist of overseeing the minor league operations, scouting staff and to scout amateur and pro games.”
