‘Green Cards’ to Be Made in France: The “green cards” issued to legal aliens living in the United States henceforth will be made in France, said Thomson-CSF, a major manufacturer of military equipment. The French firm said it had been selected by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to produce a new generation of resident alien permits, commonly known as green cards. It said the new cards would be produced using advanced electronic color imaging and digital processing techniques. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
