Thunderstorms compounded flooding in the mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley states today, dumping more than 3 inches of rain over parts of West Virginia and forcing hundreds to evacuate in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Storms dumped more than 3 inches of rain over northern West Virginia, while storm runoff in Pennsylvania bloated the Connoquenessing and Brush creeks, keeping nearly 300 evacuees away from their homes.
