Nigeria Curbs Smoking

LAGOS, Nigeria —
Nigerians who smoke in public places could be jailed for up to two years under a decree published Friday by the military government. The law, published in Lagos newspapers, prohibits smoking in cinemas, elevators, schools, offices and on public transportation.
