Grant for Huntington Library Exhibit
The W.M. Keck Foundation has awarded a $400,000 grant to the Huntington Library to sponsor an exhibition in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights.
Rare documents and works from the Huntington’s collections will be exhibited from August, 1991, to January, 1992.
Among the works are autographed letters by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and George Mason and first editions of Jefferson’s “Summary of the Rights of British America” and Mason’s “Virginia Declaration of Rights.”
