Arsenio Takes a DARE: Arsenio Hall is getting busy in the war on drugs. He’s been named the first national ambassador for DARE, Drug Abuse Resistance Education. The job entails serving on the organization’s board of directors and influencing young people to stay off drugs. “I am living proof that being hip and being successful is best achieved by being drug-free,” the late-night talk show host said. Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates said Hall’s involvement will “help increase public awareness for the benefits of DARE and help motivate young people to remain drug-free.”
