Council OKs $185,000 to Continue Medfly Suit
The Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved spending another $185,000 to continue its lawsuit against the state to stop malathion spraying over urban areas to eradicate the Mediterranean fruit fly. The city already has spent $40,000 in various legal challenges that so far have been unsuccessful.
