Special Programming on Opening of Nixon Library

Special television and radio programming will be tied to the opening of the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace in Yorba Linda today.

Cable News Network will air live coverage from 10-11 a.m., including an interview with Nixon, conducted by CNN anchor Bernard Shaw.

Coverage on KNBC will air from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (4).

Tom Brokaw will anchor the “NBC Nightly News” from the Nixon Library grounds at 6:30 p.m. (4)(36).

On radio, KNX-AM (1070) will have live coverage of the opening, including speeches by President Bush and former Presidents Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, from 10-11 a.m.

KNX also will broadcast “Richard Nixon: His Place in History” from 6:30-7 p.m.
