Man’s Body Found Near Cabrillo Beach
The body of a man with multiple stab wounds was found early Saturday at the shoreline near Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro. Police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.
A passer-by discovered the body shortly before 7 a.m., said Los Angeles Police Lt. Kathleen Murcott. Police did not find a weapon, she said. The man appeared to have been 30 to 35 years old.
The body was found about 100 yards west of Cabrillo Beach, in a rocky area of tide pools between a concrete bunker and a small jetty, said Los Angeles Lifeguard Lt. George Whitehead. The area lies below a bluff near the end of 38th Street, Whitehead said.
