SHORT TAKES : Bonnie Bedelia’s Breakthrough

NEW YORK —
After years of politely tapping on the door of stardom, Bonnie Bedelia may finally be walking through it with roles this summer in two major films.
“I’ve been teeter-tottering on the brink for six years,” said Bedelia, who plays Bruce Willis’ wife in “Die Hard 2: Die Harder” and Harrison Ford’s wife in “Presumed Innocent.”
“Sure I would like my career to go forward, but only for the opportunity to do the work,” she was quoted as saying in Self magazine’s August issue. “It’s not about getting the best table; it’s about getting the best part.”
