Martin Marietta Corp.: The Bethesda, Md., defense firm said second-quarter net income rose 8% to $94.5 million, while revenue increased 15% to $1.6 billion. The firm attributed the gains to rising volume on several major programs--primarily the Titan IV space launch system and LANTIRN night vision and targeting system.
