Hard-hitting reporter Sarah McClendon, who has covered every President since Franklin D. Roosevelt, says she’s not letting up now that she’s turned 80.

“I’m not quitting because I have a lot of questions I want to ask George Bush,” she said. The Tyler, Tex., native got congratulations from President Bush and a host of other Washington figures Thursday at a birthday party.

In her nearly 50 years of reporting from Washington, McClendon has become well known for asking Presidents tough questions.
