Toronto Hotels Will Take Part in Summer ‘Fun’ Program

Toronto is offering a “Good Fun” summer discount program through Sept. 30.

More than 50 metropolitan Toronto hotels are reducing their regular rates Monday through Sunday, with prices based on double occupancy. Book under the “Good Fun” program. Rooms are on a space-availability basis, as is customary with such programs.

Among the participating hotels are the Royal York, Sheraton Centre, Four Seasons Toronto, Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto Hilton, and Holiday Inn Downtown-City Hall, but dates of participation may vary.

Upon check-in, participants get a packet with coupons to sightseeing attractions, restaurants and retail stores. Some of the coupons are two-for-one, while the others are a straight discount.

Among the 15 sightseeing attractions are Canada’s Wonderland, the country’s largest theme park; the Centreville Amusement Park on the Toronto Islands, a five-minute ferry ride from downtown; the Art Gallery of Ontario; Black Creek Pioneer Village; Funstation Funpark, a railway-themed amusement park; Tour of the Universe; the Ontario Place, a lakeside attraction with rides, exhibits and concerts; the Metro Toronto Zoo; the Premiere Dance Theatre at Harbourfront, and the CN Tower, the world’s tallest free-standing structure.

Air Canada is offering discounted fares on some flights to Toronto from Los Angeles. The lowest round-trip LAX-Toronto fare till Sept. 7 is $338. Bookings have to be made at least three weeks prior to departure.

The minimum stay is one Sunday, with the maximum stay 30 days. Seats are limited. Make reservations as soon as you can. Contact travel agents or Air Canada at (800) 776-3000.
